How to reduce photo file sizes for a blog

If a high-resolution photo exceeds an upload limit, adjust JPG or WebP quality and image dimensions. Koofy Image web lets you set a target size and inspect the result.

Step by step

  1. Select photos in Koofy Image web and choose compression.
  2. Choose an output format and target file size.
  3. Allow resizing if appropriate, then convert.
  4. Review image quality and actual file size before downloading.

Will every photo meet the target size?

Some photos cannot reach the target with your chosen settings. Check the actual output size and try smaller dimensions if needed. An output can also be larger than its source.

Should I choose JPG, PNG or WebP?

JPG suits everyday photos. Consider PNG or WebP to preserve transparency. PNG cannot be reduced through a quality slider alone; resizing may be needed. JPG fills transparent areas with your chosen background color.
